Molly, Reecie, and Lucky!

About one month ago, Jeff started carpooling with John, who also works for the state of Tennessee in Nashville, and lives only about 15 minutes away from us.  After the first couple of days of riding together, I could tell that Jeff was much more satisfied with his job, commute, and living in this area in general.  They just "clicked".  Jeff is always full of stories about his and John's conversations, which is a nice change from "work" stuff.

Tonight, John and his wife Carolyn invited us out to their farm for dinner.  They have a gorgeous home and beautiful farm land that really makes you appreciate nature.  This place would make anyone wonder what they could possibly see in city-living.

Carolyn fixed a wonderful dinner, and after we ate we all loaded up and rode down to the barn to see the goats.  Now I farmed when I was younger.  I raised bottle calves, pigs, and even had a couple of goats.  But these were the cutest little goats I have ever seen, and they were tame!!  Also, one goat had just had a little baby today, and we got to see the baby and pet it!!!  Too cute!

So after our goat adventure, we went back to the house and Jeff showed the boys how to play marbles.  Joseph promised when we left that they were really going to practice hard!  I'm not sure who is more excited....Jeff at the prospect of teaching more people how to play marbles, or the boys to learn to play!  They are coming up to the marbles demo on Sunday that we are doing at Cane Creek Park so stay posted for some pictures!
